Empowering a thriving community.

Henfield Community Partnership (HCP), set up in 2005, is a not-for-profit, private company limited by guarantee without share capital. Its aim is to enhance the wellbeing of the Henfield Community and its surroundings. By working together, we can shape a community where everyone has the chance to contribute, grow and flourish.

We are led by a small executive team, supported by a network of affiliates who manage specific initiatives and members who take an active interest in local happenings, suggest project ideas and can be called upon to lend a hand when support is needed.

Everyone in the community can be a member, whether you live in the area or work for a local business. All are welcome to attend our Affiliates Meetings and AGM. Membership is free and belonging gives the opportunity to discover more about the Community Partnership and the work we do.

Our mission & vision

HCP exists to incubate, empower and evolve a thriving and resilient local community, where individuals, groups and businesses collaborate, share resources and engage in creating a vibrant, resilient future for all.

We aim to achieve this by:

●      Encouraging active participation, ownership and leadership within the community

●      Facilitating collaboration and resource-sharing to maximise collective impact

●      Supporting innovative ideas and initiatives that address evolving community needs

●      Promoting financial sustainability through fundraising and grant opportunities

●      Acting as a catalyst for change, fostering an inclusive and adaptable community culture

In brief, our role includes supporting local organisations and businesses, creating new opportunities, carrying out audits and bringing people together through community events. We back both fresh ideas and established initiatives, while staying responsive and looking ahead with a forward‑thinking approach.

Our ongoing and future projects are set out in the Action Plan, a structured plan, detailing what needs to be done, who is responsible and the timelines involved.
