Affiliates

Affiliates are volunteer members who focus on specific areas of community interest:

  • Specific Projects: Lead or support initiatives like sustainability, digital inclusion or local heritage.

  • Statutory organisations representation: Act as liaisons for particular community sectors.

  • Engagement & Outreach: Help raise awareness and involve residents in activities.

Affiliate meetings are generally held quarterly.

Through our community networks and partnerships, we identify common challenges, unmet needs, and opportunities for growth. We respond by offering practical solutions, whether through discussion, guidance or direct support. Our approach strengthens both new and existing initiatives, while remaining responsive to current needs and proactive about the future.

What our affiliates can expect:

  • Active listening to help clarify goals and needs.

  • Thoughtful suggestions and recommended actions.

  • Practical guidance tailored to the context.

  • Support to help moving forward, without taking over.

  • A collaborative approach that empowers rather than directs.

  • Invite open reflection and shared learning.

What we ask of our affiliates:

  • Engage with openness and objectivity.

  • Communicate clearly and consistently.

  • Share feedback to help us improve and adapt.

Members

A Member is anyone in the community who wants to stay connected and take part in what happens locally:

  • Eligibility: Anyone can be a member of the Community Partnership.  All members can stand for election to the Execs Team or nominate others.

  • Participation: Attend meetings, contribute ideas and support events.

  • Community Voice: Represent the broader interests and concerns of Henfield residents. Members are encouraged to propose new ideas, represent diverse voices and contribute to a resilient and vibrant Henfield.

We welcome all who live or work in Henfield and the surrounding area to be part of our community. We’d be delighted to have you join us and if you’re undecided, contact us for a friendly chat.
