Networking and Volunteering Evening

A large group of people at Henfield Leisure Centre visiting stalls of voluntary organisations

Visitors to the Networking and Volunteering Evening in February 2026

On Friday 27th February, the team organised and hosted an evening at Henfield Leisure Centre where over thirty local organisations and members Horsham’s Voluntary Sector came together to network and highlight their volunteering opportunities. We were pleased that over fifty visitors came along who showed an interest in becoming involved in Henfield life. The organisations also mentioned the value of networking with other groups. Visitors were from further afield as well as Henfield and included Tony Bevis and Joanne Knowles, the Chair and Vice Chair of HDC. Tony commented that the event exceeded his expectations.

A special thanks to Simon and his team at Henfield Leisure Centre for providing an excellent selection of refreshments and to Marcus Grimes, who kindly put up signage advertising the event. We also thank Horsham District Council for the grant awarded towards the cost of the event.

All who attended received a cotton recycled bag which promoted the Community Partnership and a free ticket to a prize draw. The winner received a £50 voucher to spend at a shop of their choice on Henfield High Street. This initiative supports a project by the Partnership to encourage the community to shop locally.

The evening proved to be a resounding success with a lively atmosphere throughout.

If you were unable to attend and want to find out more about the wide range of volunteering opportunities, contact us here where you can also find out more about Henfield Community Partnership and our associated groups - we would love you to join us.
