Indoor adapted curling has arrived in Henfield!
When someone mentioned New Age Kurling, we checked it out and discovered it’s a brilliant, accessible game for everyone.
Thanks to a donation from Henfield Parish Council, we’ve purchased an Indoor Curling set.
How the game works
Two teams take turns sliding stones toward a circular target.
Players can aim to score, block, or knock opponents’ stones away — just like on ice.
The team with stones closest to the centre scores points at the end of each round (“end”).
It encourages precision, teamwork, and tactical thinking
Why indoor curling is popular
Indoor curling (especially New Age Kurling) is widely popular because it is:
Inclusive — suitable for all ages and abilities, including wheelchair users.
Versatile — playable in halls, classrooms, or community centres.
Easy to learn — simple rules and quick setup.
Social and fun — great for groups, clubs, and wellbeing activities.
Sessions will be available at Henfield Leisure Centre. Please contact the Leisure Centre if you fancy having a go!
