| Description |
We are a group of volunteer mentors who run interactive sessions for 10 – 18 year olds, aiming to encourage interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) topics.
Mentors: Skilled in one or more of the STEM areas, e.g. soldering, electronics and engineering, physics, computer programming. Administrators: Greet participants, deal with fees, assist with planning and updating session information. Liaise with HCP Treasurer and Website Manager. |
| Time Commitment | Sessions are 3 - 5pm on Saturdays. Mentors: Commitment is flexible, from weekly to running an ad hoc activity on your area of interest. Administrators: Weekly or shared with another administrator. |
| Location | Usually at Henfield Youth Centre, but locations will be listed on Henfield Sci-Tech Team website. |
| Skills and Experience | Mentors: Professional or personal experience in any STEM field. Ability to engage with 10 - 18 year old participants. Administrators: People skills, strong organisational skills, basic maths skills. |
| Age Restrictions | Usually 18+ but older teens with STEM experience considered on an individual basis. |
