Henfield Community Clothes Rail

Henfield Community Clothes Rail
Role Clothing Donations & Sorting Volunteer
Description The Henfield Community Clothes Rail operates a sustainable "love, wear, share" initiative out of the Henfield Leisure Centre. We provide free, nearly new clothing for babies and children (ages 0–12) to local families, while sending unwanted adult clothing to homeless charities and support collections for Ukraine.

We are looking for hands-on volunteers to help us source high-quality clothing donations, sort through incoming items, and prepare them beautifully for our monthly pop-up events.
Time Commitment Flexible and term-time only. Ideal for those who can assist ahead of or during our regular sessions, which run on the first Friday of every month from 8:30am to 11:30am.
Location Henfield Leisure Centre, Northcroft, Henfield. Sourcing and outreach tasks can be done flexibly around the local village.
Skills and Experience No prior experience necessary! We are looking for individuals who are organized, have an eye for quality, and are passionate about recycling, helping families, and reducing textile waste. Good community connection skills are a plus for sourcing donations.
Age Restrictions Over 18s only
Contact Details To find out more please WhatsApp Kate at: 07779 998221 or check our updates via the Henfield Leisure Centre Facebook page.
Further Information This initiative operates under a "take what you need, give what you can" philosophy, ensuring that quality children's clothes are kept out of landfills and directed right back into the hands of families who can use them. It is a brilliant way to directly help both the local community and global humanitarian efforts.
